I have a question about my OS

I have just rebuilt my computer and I took my hard drive out of my almost new Dell Inspiron 3650 as I have used it in my new build. It has got an ASUS motherboard when previously it was from Dell. Can I still use this OS without buying a new Windows 10 copy even though it has Dell Backup and Recovery and stuff. I have had a problem resetting so I am trying again.

Was the Dell preinstalled with Win 10? If so....problem.

After...you probably need to call MS and talk to a human to get it activated with the new hardware.
