I need help in cleaning my PS4.

I have a question. My PS4 has been making a lot of noise lately and I've cleaned it once 2 months ago and it was fine. I cleaned it again a week ago and it's still noisy. Since I don't have compressed air, is it safe to switch on the PS4 with the back cover open so the dust goes away?
Can I do this with the power supply out too? Help.

Hey,

While I wouldn't recommend running the PS4 without it's shell, I don't necessarily think it would cause any harm as long as nothing was touching it. If you are already taking the cover off I did find an album on imgur that shows a step by step of how to clean the fans using air and cotton swabs. You may want to check that out.
