5 speed emergency brake left on while driving

I was driving my friends 5-speed mustang down a road pretty quickly for about 3-4 miles until we parked it in the garage and I realized the emergency brake was still on and the car was making a clanking sound idk what I did but looking for answers..

Well get the rear drums checked, in my opinion it the emergency brake must've busted, well basically the emergency drum brake pads have been damaged. its an easy fix really. but i'd advise to fix it first before driving, well before it does any more damage to the car itself.
