As title says, I have 2 monitors that connect via HDMI but my pc only has 1 HDMIi port and 3 Display ports. I read that if i buy a Display port to HDMI cord, it will not work. Is this true? Also, would it be better to just by a split HDMI port?

You should be fine using a hdmi display port cable. Here is one. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01IHFGTOK/. So long as the display port is plugged into the computer and the hdmi into the monitor it should work.

no DP on your monitors?

DP to HDMI should work they both carry high res (but DP does not carry any audio)

I would def not buy an hdmi splitter. that would be terrible

there is also some usb to hdmi options but they are usually pricey

Assuming there is only one HDMI on your graphics card, you could go into your BIOS and enable integrated graphics and plug the other one into your motherboard. That's what I did and I saved myself from buying anything.
