So I have an AOC 60hz gaming monitor right now but I recently bought a 1080 and know my system is putting out a lot more than 60fps in most games. I've decided that sometime in the near future I'm going to upgrade to a 144hz, 1ms gaming display and I'll just use this 60hz one as a second monitor. I have a few monitors that I've narrowed my search down to but I need help deciding between them since they all seem relatively the same at generally the same price point. What I'm looking for in a monitor is good build quality, VESA mountable, no ghosting, good color ratios, aesthetically pleasing, has a dual-link DVI port and comes with the cable to hook it up, and is close to the $200 range. Here are the ones I've narrowed my search down to:

The 24” AOC G2460PF has no DVI-D port? The VG248QE has pretty poor viewing angles. Colors on this monitor are also muted or as some would describe "washed out". Poor quality too.

Acers have quality issues but the 24” £$210 AOC G2460PF freesync 144hz 1ms (or 1080p 27” g2770pf) can quickly rotate into portrait mode. Reviews say good color, low input lag. Some say it's the best screen they have used. Flicker-free so no headaches. Just reduce the blue color from 100% to 85% & you'll be fine for night use with no significant impact in blue presentation. This also helps to darken the screen as it is insanely bright.

Looks like it has decent viewing angles...

According to this PCPartPickers comparison chart, only the VG248QE has a DVI-D Dual-Link? It's also the most popular and has the highest rating so I guess that really settles it for you. Personally, assuming by 1080 you meant the GTX 1080, I would opt for a much better monitor than the ones mentioned (if you have the money) because it seems like a waste to use the GTX 1080 for 1080p gaming to be frank...

NOTE When tuning your monitor's brightness and contrast, do it from the picture boost menu in the monitor's built in settings. make sure bright frame is turned on and the frame size is set to 100%. Your picture will be really dim and grey otherwise.

Make sure to set your monitor's refresh rate to 144hz in the windows display adapter properties menu, by default 75hz. Search "ufo test" to see the settings are applied.

If you need them there are color calibrations from http://www.pcmonitors.com

This needs no extra drivers for Windows 10 using DVI. For DisplayPort download drivers from AOC

To install

Make sure that in windows the option to install unsigned drivers is possible, if you do not know how
https://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how-to-disable-driver-signature-verification-on-64-bit-windows-8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/

Restart PC. Pull out the DisplayPort Cable on the graphic card then put it back after 1 minute.

(For those thinking of ordering from tAxlessmazon: I've heard of people who bought a product which developed a fault after 28 days but within one year & Amazon refused to refund them. You could order it then return it for a refund within 28 days then buy elsewhere from a tax-paying little dealer. Once these dealers disappear tAxlessmazon can then charge anything they like.)
