Best gaming monitor for $500-$800

I am looking for a high end gaming monitor but I am really new to this. I read the stickies and I am not really statisfied as I already know the names and technical things and stuff. As for the GPU, I would buy a GTX1080 TI so I don't think a 1080p monitor would be suitable (this GPU is overkill for 1080p monitors). So what do you recommend me?
