*I know the thread title could be better, but i honestly don't know a better way to describe this*

I'm helping a friend out with a pretty annoying problem, her system will randomly slow to a crawl when she fires up her computer until she does a complete system restart and then its gone until the next time it decides to creep in from nowhere and slow her system down again after a bootup.

The emphasis is on randomly. I've been unable to recreate the problem when I was by her place and therefore i am at a loss as to what could be causing this? I'd guess faulty RAM or her SSD is acting up, but then it surely wouldnt be so random?

Any help would be appreciated!

Afraid the system is all clean, would've been awesome if this was the culprit. :(
