probably discussed thoroughly elsewhere; however, the discussion is usually limited to the question how to reach 60Hz. I do have 60Hz at 4k resolution, but my GTX 980 does not make around 60fps in modern games. I have been playing last year at 2560x1440 on 60Hz using the same setup, the only thing that has changed is the cable and my maximum at this resolution is 30Hz. I switched from 1.5m to 10m HDMI cable only. It is certainly highspeed cable despite this feature has been seriously disputed, however, even the old cable does not provide the same refresh frequency now.
Any ideas? Can it be caused by messed driver update? Or what can be the cause? Thank you!
