RX 480: 1080p 144hz vs 1440p 60hz FreeSync

Hi guys, I bought a RX480 recently and I'm now in the market for a new monitor.
I've been having a look online and on umart.com.au there's this monitor, which is a 1440p 60hz VA panel, which I've heard is pretty decent and also this one, which is a 1080p 144hz that is excellent, according to the reviews online. FreeSync is a big priority, and I'm open to other suggestions (how are those cheap 1080p 75hz Freesync monitors?).

A 1080p Freesync 144hz monitor is the best option for you atm.

75Hz Freesync monitors start at $120 for tiny, mediocre 21" versions, and go up to $179 if you want a decent 24" version.
At that point you might as well go 144hz, and I was going to recommend the XF240H anyway, so that's a bonus.

The only problem is I'm from Australia and pricing over here is really weird; a mid range 75hz 1080p monitor is $195 here, and the cheapest 1080p/144hz display is $485 (both monitors have FreeSync). Is the $300 gap really worth it?

In that case no, pricing varies everywhere, in the US they weren't very competitively priced.

That looks like a great monitor, but should I be worried about tearing w/o freesync?
also, any thoughts about the LG 24MP68VQ-P? its pretty cheap

Regardless, the one i've listed is the best monitor you're going to get for the money.
