I am trying to install windows 10 on a Pentium 4 521 2.80 GHz Prescott. When trying to install windows "This PC's processor dosen't support a critical feature. (LAHF/SAHF)" and "This PC's processor dosen't support a critical feature. (PrefetchW)" pops up. Is it possible to somehow bypass this problem?

The system I'm trying to run windows 10 on is a HP Compaq dc7100
Currently running windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
4GB DDR RAM
40GB HDD

Solution
There are a number of instructions (CMPXCHG16b, PrefetchW and LAHF/SAHF) that Windows 8.1 64 bit on up required that Windows 7 64 bit didn't... mainly for enhanced security features. I'd imagine your P4 is too old to be compatible. Generally, you need a Pentium D series on up for the 64 bit version of Windows 10. You may be able to install the 32 bit version though.

I have not tried using the 32 bit version of windows 10. I will see if i can install windows 10 using a 32 bit copy.
