LED Monitor Failing

For a while now my monitor has been flickering for a while before starting up (like this http://imgur.com/6WgQ2ra) but now sometimes after I've waited the initial 4-5 minute time for the picture to settle it completely fails on me and shows this http://imgur.com/ITcSrH4

The monitor I am using is the BenQ XL2411T and i'm running it at 144hz.

Just want to know if anyone has any idea what the problem would likely be and if I could repair it by myself or if I need to send it to the shop.

Are you certain it's not your GPU failing? If it's the monitor then it's a repair job that only professionals can deal with. Also, see if it's still under warranty and have BenQ fix it for you.

Yes it definitely isn't my gpu as my second monitor is fine when it fails. I may have to take it to a professional but I was hoping it was just one or two components in the monitor that needed replacing.
