In the upcoming months I will be getting either a GTX 1070 or GTX 1080. To pair with this, I will also be upgrading my screen. Right now, I don't know what to get. I mostly game on my computer and also watch quite a bit of YouTube. I'm wondering what my best solution would be. I have a budget of around €500. I would prefer a good 2560x1440, 144hz, G-Sync monitor.
Also, can someone answer these three questions for me:
1) Will a GTX 1070 be enough to run 2560x1440p at 144hz for games like Overwatch? If not, would G-Sync compensate for the lack of 144 frames? If so, in what way?
2) What is the difference between Acer XB281HK and Acer XB281HK bmiprz. This is just an example since I've seen quite a few monitors with 1 name, and another with an added "bmiprz" that increases the price by around a €100.
3) Is 1440p worth it? If I do get a GTX 1080, I'm not sure it would be able to run Overwatch at 2560x1440 at max settings at 144hz. I want the 144hz because of the more fluid motion and easier aiming. Is 1440p at low-medium settings a major improvement at 1080p at high settings?
