HI,

I currently have LG 34 ultrawide(lg34uc88). I would like to leverage monitor single display port for two machines. Machines will never be active at the same time.

I noticed there are splitters for same such as StarTech.com DisplayPort to DisplayPort Multi Monitor Splitter - 2-Port MST Hub - DP 1.2 to 2x DP MST Hub:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XXPYGPO/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=29CXUFEF1MKDE&coliid=IAFP2CV3TOSK8&psc=1

BUT i don't know if they are bidirectional. Meaning would I be able to use the display port portion and insert it into the monitor and then split it to two different machines
