Are my components right?

Hi,

This is my first time to build a PC on my own. My main purpose is to edit photos and videos. I'm going to use it to play games as well such as GTA V, NBA2K, etc. And in the future, I want to use it for 3DS Max.

I recently bought the ASUS H110M-D motherboard.

I'm going to buy the i7 6700, HyperX DDR4 2133 8GB, and
Asus GTX 1050 Ti STRIX OC 4GB once I have the budget, probably next month.

My question is, are the components just right?

The Core i7-7700 is a better deal. It is slightly faster and the price is nearly identical.

In your case. The AMD Ryzen R7 1700 is purpose built for the work you are doing. Rendering in suites like Blender and 3DS max is were it really shines. Especially if you overclock. It also does well at gaming. Not as well as the Intel at gaming but plenty good for that GPU. It should work on par with the i7-6900K in rendering tasks.

Check the Photorealistic rendering section. The R7 1700 is very close to the 1700x and can easily be overclocked to the same performance or higher.

Hi,

Is the i7-7700 compatible with my motherboard?

It most likely is. But the best way to find out is to go to the manufacturer's web page for that motherboard. Then under support (i think) is the list of compatible CPU's. Then you will know for sure. And you will know the next time too.

You must perform a BIOS update. Then it will be compatible.
