Couldn't find a thread of this monitor with the same issue or an answer.

Specs:
Xfx 980tI dvi-d
10gb ram
Asus mobo
Acer X gd245HQ monitor.
700watt kentek pay
Hyper evo 212 cooler

Just got this monitor off eBay, turns on, works fine. However since buying this for the 120hertz refresh rate, there's a weird issue. It says it's at 1080 60hertz at normal, but when I switch it to 120 it either says "input not supported" sometimes or changes to 120 but makes the resolution look like a potato. However while in this potato safe mode like resolution at 120 hertz the monitor says it's at 1080 despite it obviously not looking like it. So does the nvidia settings. All drivers are up to date.
This only happens when I change it to either 100, 110, or 120 hertz. Adding another monitor using HDMI didn't help. Unfortunately I can't add pictures through mobile here.

I actually already have the dual link dvi connected like i always used for my other monitors. As an update, upon looking at the refresh rate for the monitor menu itself, it says 960 x 1080 is the resolution. 136 khz horozontal, 120 hz vertical. Evem though wondows and nvidia menus say 1920x1080
