Can't Change to 144HZ

Hi everyone,

I'm kind of new to this tech thing, so sorry if the thing im doing wrong is obvious. I recently got a new monitor, XL2411 by Benq for my laptop MSI GP62MVR 6RF LEOPARD PRO.

I can't seem to change my hertz from 60 to go to 144HZ. And my computer only detects Generic PnP monitor and not my BenQ monitor.

I am currently using a mini display port adaptor to DVI cable.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

What kind of dvi? Only dual link supports 144hz

Yes im currently using a dual link dvi

you need to install windows driver for windows to see the right monitor.

How much was that dp to dvi adapter? Because the very few dp to dual link dvi adapters that can do 120Hz are ~$100+.

If you don't mind me asking, would you please provide a link or the exact model to the GPU you are currently using to drive your display?
