New Motherboard and CPU, i don't have a physical copy of windows what can i do to get an OS running.

So got a new mobo and CPU, when i boot it tells me to reboot and select proper boot device, i don't have a physical copy of windows (Windows 10 is what my old build used) what can i do from here? Thanks.

Would that effect any of the files in my hardrives? I'd rather avoid going away from Windows as I'm not exactly familiar with other OS

Well as I said before if you have access to another computer you can download Windows onto a USB and change to boot option or buy it and order a physical copy. Honestly I have never used Linx before but I hear it is good I would recommend looking up some videos of it and how to uninstall it and then install windows BUT it should hard or mess up any files on your hardrive as you can wipe it when you install windows anyway.
