I replaced the intake manifold gaskets but my jimmy is still blowing white smoke and radiator is sending the coolant back out of radiator. what is wrong with my jimmy?

Solution
Mechanical lifters were almost completely gone by the late 1960's. Unless someone has changed the camshaft and lifters or replaced the engine with an old one, they will be hydraulic.
You need to have the cooling system pressure tested, perhaps using dye to identify where the leak is coming from. While head gaskets are a common cause of coolant leak into the combustion chamber resulting in steam coming from the tailpipe, there can be other causes such as a cracked block, cracked or warped heads, or lack of sealant on head bolts that protrude into the water jacket.

Someone told me it was the head gasket so I started breaking it down. So far I replaced the drivers side gasket with a new one, but I didnt see any damage on the old gasket. How can it get water on both cylinder heads?

Thanks bad actor, I kept my fingers crossed on the block being cracked. When I pulled the 2nd cylinder head the gasket was almost disintegrated. Wish I knew how to post pics on here so you could see it. Thanks. Now I need to know how to set the the valves on sequence

Very simple for hydraulic lifters, you just set them with zero lash. Follow the guide below.
