Hey, I'm having a problem with my monitor. Benq Zowie XL2540. I can't figure out how to get 240hz on it, The highest I get is 144hz. I've been googling it since I got the monitor around a month ago.

Solution
Ok well in that case you won't be able to get anything beyond 144Hz as the DVI connection doesn't support it. The displayport cable should definitely be able to get more than 60Hz. Did you try my first suggestion while using the displayport cable?

What operating system are you running?

If you're in Windows 10, try:

1. Right-click desktop background
2. Click display settings
3. Click 'Display adapter properties'
4. Click 'List All Modes'
5. Check what setting you're on, and if 1920x1080, 240 Hertz is an option

Edit: could you also tell us what GPU you are using and what cable you are using to connect to the monitor?

I just had a look at the product manual and it says that the HDMI-2 port and the DVI port only support 1920x1080 up to 144hz, so you won't be able to use either of those connections for 240hz.

The HDMI-1 and displayport connections are the only two that support 1920x1080 @ 240Hz. You'll need to make sure that you are using either:
- a HDMI 2.0 cable in the HDMI-1 connection
- a displayport cable

My GPU is an MSI Geforce GTX970 4GB and the cable I'm using is DVI, I've tried several HDMI's and 2 different displayports but the only went up to 60hz
