I bought a ultrawide for my mother for her work computer to help with multitasking and Intel Graphics Panel would not allow me to change the aspect ratio. I even booted in to safe mode, to my surprise, IT WORKED. the aspect ratio works when the software is disabled. the problem is, i need to to work in normal mode. How do i change the aspect ratio or disable whatever software it is or change to the right resolution?

I tried BIOS, system resolution changer(worked in safe mode), display adapter update, processor driver update. It currently displays in 1920x1080 which offsets when shes working with documents.

Thanks for helping!

if the video output works in safe mode but not in normal mode, then its the driver the issue

1. download DDU from the link and save it to your desktop: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

2. verify what version of windows your using and download a fresh copy of the Intel HD530 driver from Intel web site : http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/graphics-for-6th-generation-intel-processors/intel-hd-graphics-530.html

3. launch DDU it will ask if you want to reboot in safe mode SAY YES.

4. once rebooted in Safe mode and DDU is loaded, select on the pull down is not already selected INTEL, then Clean and restart

5. once rebooted, don't worry about display...

5. once rebooted, don't worry about display resolution, and give windows 3 mins to boot completely and try to upload a driver of its own making. Don't worry if it is on low resolution, after a few minutes, launch the new Intel HD530 driver your have on your desktop and follow the instructions, once done... reboot the computer, then set resolution.

6. use the cdrom or download driver for monitor and install it as well, then reboot one last time

enjoy & good luck
