Do I need a 1080p monitor for a high end PC over my 1050p

I'm planning on getting a brand new gaming PC, but I'm not sure if it's going to work well with my old monitor (1680x1050 60hz) and do I need a new one. (I have nearly no cash left so I need to know if getting a new one is a obligatory).

Here are the specs of the new PC:

Cpu: i7-7700k
Gpu: gtx 1070 8gb
RAM: 2x8 Gb

It will work just fine with your old monitor. It's just a waste, as that GTX 1070 is overkill for that resolution. But I guess you can always upgrade the monitor later on, when you have the money.

Hello... Does the Monitor have DVI or HDMI inputs? that would be best B / ...Yes you will be able to set your OS for 1050 and keep using it.
