I am in the midst of building my 1st custom gaming pc and have a motherboard problem. The motherboard I am looking/hoping to get is the ASRock Z270 Pro4 http://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/z270%20pro4/#Specification . My problem is with the ram it supports. I have an i5 6600k and this ram http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-lpx-8gb-1x8gb-ddr4-dram-2400mhz-c16-memory-kit-black-cmk8gx4m1a2400c16 . The specifications on the MOBO say that i7 supports up to 2400mhz and i5 support up to 2133mhz non OC. I know nothing about OCing ram and like I said this is my 1st pc build so I dont know a whole lot. Would I be fine getting this MOBO with my CPU and ram? Any response is great, thanks!

That motherboard supports both the cpu and the ram. To get the advertised speed of the ram you will have to go into the bios and press the button that says XMP profile. It will automatically set the ram at the speed it is supposed to be at. to get into the bios on startup hit the delete key on your motherboard when you see the load screen that says AsRock.

While the that exact kit is not on the asrock mb QVL this is:

CMK16GX4M2A2400C16 <- on the list \ the 16 and the 2 next to the M means 2 sticks

CMK8GX4M1A2400C16 <- yours \ the 8 and the 1 next to the M mean 1 stick

The memory will work.
