Can my HP 500W PSU handle a gtx 1060?

I'm thinking about buying this GTX 1060 card from gigabyte - https://images10.newegg.com/ProductImageCompressAll1280/14-125-901-13.jpg

I have a 500W power supply, picture here - http://i.imgur.com/mipZY1c.jpg. The card only requires a 400W. Is this a good enough PSU for a 1060? It came with my HP, this one here - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04816928

I have two pci 6 pin connectors plus a small 2 pin one (my connectors - http://i.imgur.com/LeUut8X.jpg). The 1060 card only requires one 6 pin pci connection. So is one 6 pin all I need to plug in and leave the other 6 pin and 2 pin out and dangling? Or do I need to get the gtx 980 card that requires two 6 pin connections? But then that would leave the small 2 pin out as well? What do I do?

First off, a pre-built power supply usually is designed to handle graphic cards. With that being said, it seems like it should work, especially with it being 80+ Bronze, but again no guarantees. Do you already have GPU that you tested before?

Yeah, the pathetic GTX 745 (OEM) that came with it. That one requires 300W and it handles it ok. But it's such a bad card, I don't even consider it a test tbh.

Thanks for the help, I hope you're right. If I do notice any problems I'll just upgrade the PSU. Do you think any type of PSU will work with my PC or should it be a specific type for HP and the motherboard etc.?

Any modern PSU should work. I would assume your motherboard has a 24-pin connector..everything else is normal. I've seen people take pre-builds, and replace stuff and works perfectly.
