1060 3GB or RX 580 8GB

The statistics for that are somewhat inaccurate at the moment, even though it displays the 1060 as being more powerful overall if you look at individual stats.
However, you should read review statistics for a more accurate comparison.
The 1060 6GB is about 5% faster and better optimized in general.

In that review the 1060 6gb is faster in all of the tested games except Doom and Sniper elite.

hey just wanted to say free-sync is cheaper than g sync and detect x 12 and Vulcan which favors the rx 580 but dx 11 favors the gtx 1060 6gb so i guess it depend on the games you play but more games in the future will probably be supporting dx 12

also in the future you can get another rx 580 and put them in crossfire also with 8gb 580 and amd fine wine technology and amd known to have longer driver support will make it probably the better choice now and will be a viable option for longer

well lets say in lets say 2-3 years they want to improve there graphical power because the graphics card will be about on the end of its life span there they coud get a secant one just to hold them out till they had the money to get a new gpu or just to play the newscast games at high setting, even though one gpu is better. 2 rx 580 will be more powerful than 1 1060 especially when dx 12 takes over
edit: this is also considering in the future a 580 will probably be lets say 25% cheaper than it is now and used options

with Vega you can probably get one in 2-3 years for under a hundred dollars used like 100$ new probly cheaper than a new gpu in 2-3 years that outperforms unless we have a surge of technology and everything is more powerful for cheaper but i cant say i can only look at statistics of the past not the future
