Ive seen alot of mismatched things online and cannot find my answer. In display settings it will only go to 60hz max, radeon settings display settings shows it running at 60hz. I tried creating a custom resolution at 144hz but radeon wouldn't accept it. Im using a dvi cable.

Ryzen 1700@4.0ghz

Is it a single link DVI-D? If not, then you will need a dual link DVI-D, HDMI 1.3 or higher, or a Displayport cable. http://www.144hzmonitors.com/knowledge-base/144hz-1080p-which-cable-do-i-need/. Look pictures of a single vs dual and you can tell the difference by the pin count and location.
