computer resetting during gaming but not browsing HELP

AMD fx 4350 4.2Ghz
evga gtx 750ti sc
cougar 400w bronze 80%
2x4gb crucial ballstix 1600mhz ram


My PC will just randomly hard restart with no BSOD, monitor turns off and just turns back on, everyonce in a while when it hard restarts it will bring up a color, like bright green or pink. it seldomly does this. 90% of the time it will hard restart the pc as if i hit the reset button on the case

This sounds like a PSU issue and seeing Cougar in your spec's does not veto that thought. Do you have a spare power supply to test with?

Yup - first thought is psu. Second thought, given the wonky colors is gpu going.

I dont but one thing that I have noticed is that when I lower game settings I don't crash as much
