The 7700k seems to have a fame for heating a lot. Is it the same for the non-k 7700? Should I buy a Hyper 212X or a Corsair Hydro H45? Or will the stock cooler suffice?

I use a hyper 212 evo with a 7700k and my temps are fine, I never exceed 75c during stress tests and about 60-65c in games. At 4.6ghz 1.2v vcore. The 7700 would likely be slightly cooler due to lower base and boost clocks. The stock intel cooler is really not very good, im not sure how well it will do cooling the 7700. If you can get something like the cryorig h7 or hyper 212 it wouldn't be a bad idea.

the stock cooler is fine and will not cause the CPU to overheat. i use the stock cooler with that CPU and it gets to 90 Celsius under heavy load and with asus fan controls it does wine up and down a lot. the stock cooler is fine but eventually i'll probably get a better cooler for mine

Not available here. And the Hyper 212X isn't that far off in price than the Corsair H45 water cooler. Is that a good one? I really like the look of it compared to the big air coolers like 212X or M9i
