I'm upgrading from my 1080@60hz display, and i'm just not sure what monitor to choose.
These are the two main ones i'm looking at:
https://www.pccasegear.com/products/34212/acer-predator-xb271hu-27in-g-sync-ips-144hz-gaming-monitor
https://www.pccasegear.com/products/36713/aoc-agon-ag271qg-27in-g-sync-165hz-ips-gaming-monitor
There's also the Asus version, but it's $1200 and i'm not comfortable paying that much for a monitor. To add to that, it has very mixed reviews on Newegg, so i'm not interested at all. AOC is obviously a lesser known brand, but does that actually matter? I could put that extra $100 to a nice mechanical keyboard. On the other hand, i'd be happy to spend the extra $100 if it means less chance of something like dead pixels or backlight bleed.
Or i could just ditch IPS all together and go with this for $150-250 cheaper: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/38358/acer-predator-xb1-23-8in-165hz-qhd-g-sync-gaming-monitor
What are your opinions? Honestly is so far the hardest choice i've had to make with my new PC.
Thanks.
