.Net Framework 3.5

I can't seem to get anything to work. I'm not experienced in windows troubleshooting, so 95% of the solutions I've found online are just completely confusing to me. So far the only thing I've been able to accomplish is disable .Net 4.6, but every time I try a solution to enable 3.5 either nothing happens or I get stuck in a loop. What should I do? Please be as detailed as possible.

Sometimes it can cause issues trying to download it. Grab a Windows 10 ISO (using Windows Media Creation Tool) and then follow these steps: http://www.techgainer.com/offline-install-net-framework-3-5-windows-10-8-easily/

You should be able to install .NEt 3.5 now.

For a moment I thought it wasn't working, but it just took forever to start. Thank you. This was somehow a lot less confusing than the dozens of other threads that essentially said the same thing. Maybe it's because I ate breakfast. Anyway, it's working now, so whatever. It's ridiculous that this is still an issue when I've seen people discussing this as early as 2014, and probably earlier. Windows is the pits. Not that Mac or Linux are any better. There all the pits.

Anyway, thank you again. This morning has been very frustrating and now all is well.

I know the feeling, that's why I try to isntall 3.5 as soon as I install windows

I faced a similar situation when I wanted to play FIFA14 on my Windows 10 PC and was told to install the .NET Framework 3.5 (.) I wasted a lot of time trying to download it but it kept telling download fail not until I read this article http://infotechmagna.blogspot.com/2017/05/How-To-Successfully-Install-.NET-Framework-3.5-On-Windows-10.html
He specifically explained how to go about it and thanks to him I downloaded my .NET Framework 3.5 also I now know that to be able to install .NET 3.5 successfully, you have to untick the advanced version(.NET Framework 4.6) from your control panel.
