I'm looking to start streaming within the next couple of months, and after looking around I really am just lost about where to start. From what i've heard it's best to build the pc yourself instead of buying a pre-built pc. If someone could steer me in the right direction and maybe suggest a build for me it will be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to stream games like GTA 5, Arma 3, CS: GO. Pretty much want to be able to stream any game I choose without any issues. I have a budget of $1,500 and I hope that is enough for a bad ass build.

Ryzen has the best streaming quality in a single system. The 1080 is more than fast enough for any monitor.

1500 is heaps! :)
@Elbert, get at least a 240GB SSD, 120 fills up fast with OS and a few software programs.
A 1600 would be a better fit, a 1700 is overkill for streaming, but if monitor is already accounted for its fine.

@OP, what's your budget for a monitor?
You'll want a 1440p 144hz or 4k monitor.
I'll make two lists, one without monitor, and one with.

Get this if you need a monitor, and get a 960 Evo 256GB later down the line, and transfer OS to it.

Thanks for including the monitor, the one i'm using now is just a junker I picked up from the office. I noticed that coolers and optical drives aren't included in your guys' builds, are they not needed or does it not matter which ones I purchase?

The 1700 comes with a stock Wraith cooler as good as my cooler master 212. Most are getting between 3.7~3.8Ghz on the stock wraith cooler. If you must sacrofice for the monitor droping down to the 1080 would be better for your streaming.

I wouldn't suggest the PC MATE due its a business motherboard many are saying doesn't blk overclock. Doesn't have the RGB lighting either. A 120GB is enough for an OS boot drive. Its better to spend more on the RAM for the Ryzen. The 3000 RAM will only ever work at best 2933 while the 3200 may work at 3200. RAM is were games live which is many times faster than an SSD. Also you really dont want games on an SSD to reduce writes. More writes will only decrease the life of the SSD.

Get the tomahawk and 3200 RAM for sure. I would also highly suggest the Ryzen 7 1700 as its more on par with the 7700k were as the 1600 is only on par with the i5 7600K. Plus streaming which you want would see a greater impact on the 1600 as it has fewer cores to do the encoding.

Here is a build with a bigger SSD and a monitor. The 1080ti is just extreamly wasteful on 1080p as even a GTX1080 is overkill.

Yes you can fit an i3 with a titan in the price range and it would still be an unbalanced system. Matching a 1080ti with a 1080p is an extreme waste. The Ryzen 7 1700 is the better balance but not the GTX1080ti with 1080p. The GTX1080 is highest GPU needed. The system needs the faster RAM and better motherboard for streaming.

It's 1080p 144hz we're talking, not 60Hz. It's not shoehorning it into an unbalanced rig, it'll be fine.
@OP, if you don't mind 60Hz this is a better option, i've included a good IPS 24" 4k monitor and a 1080Ti.
Chuck in a 250GB SSD later along the line and you're set. :)

@OP The 1080ti should be matched up with a 1440p 120hz or higher. Its greatly unbalanced. A 1060 6GB is fine for most 1080p 144hz. A 1070 would be great in this rig. A 1080 would hit about 200fps in every single game. The 1080ti is crazy waste of cash on 1080p.
