Use laptop monitor for Intel NUC

Hi to all.

I have a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2 in 1 laptop, running Windows 10 version 1607. I want to buy an Intel NUC Kit and use the laptop monitor as display of the NUC Is it possible?

Thank you for your replies.

  1. Laptops only have a video out port, not video in, so it's not as straightforward as just plugging in a cable like you do with a dedicated monitor. See this thread:

Thank you, Phillip, for your prompt reply. I know the laptop has only video out and I've researched the possibilities. All people speak of using the laptop as a second monitor. I actually want to use two computers (laptop's own CPU and an external CPU) on the laptop's monitor and be able to switch between both computers. It seems my idea is not possible at the moment, but it makes sense to save on another monitor.
