Hi. Curious person in the tech field. here is why i wanted to ask this question. To introduce myself I'm earning my Bachelor in CIS, I gain a CIS associate degree which made me passionate in programming, I also pass my comptia 901 exam. right now, I'm trying to enter a non-profit organization call npower which prepare you for your comptia A+,Network, Security , Linux certification and network with various tech company/banks. I really am into the world of ethical hacking that I took part on a Programming internship that would strengthening my programming skills, and I work in a part-time job building PC from scratch. I believe I might love networking (connecting switches, routers) will be a fun environment as well. Do you know what type of tech title has the ability to work on Hardware components, building Networks, securing data , and programming. Really would like to know and do some research on it.
Thx

With those skills, jobs that come to my mind are IT, hardware engineer, system analyst, or software developer. IT seems like they deal with most of those skills. Under one of the IT titles, Computer Support Specialist work on all, if not, most of these. https://www.thebalance.com/computer-support-specialist-526075 Some other IT titles would only work on a couple of these such (not all) as IT Developer, System Analyst, Support Analyst, and Help Desk Technician.

Yea... I think IT will cover all that as well if i move on.

did a software development intern.. I don't know if its like all software development job just had a bad time when members leaving, and learning a programming while doing the project at the same time. It would be cool if the company teaches you what program to use and then implement in the project. I was pretty scattered around learning Front end-/ Java Script Node.js APi. then mangodb plus school. so right now pretty shaky with Software developer.. but batch scripting is doable in my experience.

So thx for the advice might get into a job in IT security or hardware security. seems like it covers hardware, networking security and a little programming in the terminal .

That's great! Glad I was able to help. I never worked in a private sector before so I don't know whether they teach you skills that you implement in the project but in the government (Canada), they do. Things like mainframe, COBOL, and JCL is taught and implemented there.

I am going to respond using a different viewpoint:

Titles mean nothing....

Titles are often manipulated to control salaries, make customers believe that required skills are available, and provide apparent career paths to the title holders. E.g., Junior Sytem Analyst, System Analyst, Senior System Analyst.

In reality, it is not at all uncommon to be hired to do "x" and actually end up doing "y".

Focus on developing a skill set that you desire. As long as you get to do that sort of work - do it with whatever title is applicable or otherwise appropriate at the time.

As you learn more skills, gain more experience, and demonstrate you can actually do more then you can fit into more "titles".

If you have the necessary skills and if someone really wants you for some purpose. They will make the title fit.
