Windows 10 won't give me my desktop - public desktop only

I have a fresh install of Windows 10 and I've migrated my user folders over to my D drive because I have a small SSD for a C drive.

For some reason it's forcing my desktop to be C:\Users\Public\Public Desktop. Here is a screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/WPz4Y

I can't use my desktop with my account and every time I install something it creates 2 identical shortcuts. If I try to delete them, 1 says it doesn't exist and stays on the Desktop forever.

Moving the whole /Users/ folder to a different drive is almost universally a bad idea.
