TV volume low through headphone

1. Sony MdR-ZX100 (had these for years) that has no volume knob
2. Enhancements on or off makes no difference
3. Playback shows my TV as SANYO LCD-0 NVIDIA High Definition Audio

When listening through headphones the TV volume is low
