Blue screen when launching a game

Hello,

since I made the mistake of running a game developped by a private individual (https://github.com/StefanoFiumara/Harry-Potter-Unity/re..., at your own risks!), my Asus R510JK-DM177H laptop crashes with a blue screen each time I run a game. The error message is either DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE or DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.

I reinstalled Windows 10 from a USB key but the problem persists. My computer also crashes when I run a game from Ubuntu.

However, everything works fine if I run the game with the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 GPU, and not the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M (it crashes when I use the Nvidia one).

I'm pretty sure all of my drivers are up to date.

Is my Nvidia GPU broken, or is there a way to solve the problem?

Google your error message in the BSOD and you will find your solutions. Those are the links that will most probably help you solve your issue.

Thank you for your help.

The first links blames Windows 10, but since my problem also occurs with Ubuntu I am a bit sceptical. I did what it says anyway but it did not solve it. Same thing for the second link
