Hey everyone. My PC has been freezing quite often recently. It used to happen like once in 14 days or so, but now it happens more often. When it freezes and there is some audio running in the background, it usually buzzes with one constant tone. There is nothing to do about it when it occurs - i tried CTRL+ALT+DEL, tried waiting like 10 minutes but nothing would help - a hard restart is needed (holding the power button until it shuts down).

It happens mostly in games, because that's the majority of my time spent on PC - but I remember freezing it once in Photoshop and once on my desktop. And for example yesterday it froze in a game menu (Overwatch) where I didn't even click on Play.

What makes most sense for me (or what I think it is) is that it's one of my hard drives* that just stops working correctly and therefore it freezes my whole PC. If it was my GPU, it would behave differently I guess - I'd be seeing some artifacts or graphics problems in general. CPU would cause a BSOD; PSU would shut my PC off.

My PC is dusted off and temperatures are perfect. Also, my computer isn't older than 2 years (except for my HDD which is also not very old - max 4 years).

Specs:

RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 2133Mhz
*SSD: Adata SP920 (256GB)
*HDD: WD10ezex (1TB)
