Monitor resets to 60hz on startup

Hello. Yesterday I connected a second monitor to my GTX 1060 through a DVI cable. My main monitor is a BenQ (don't remember the model) originally set to 60hz (although the manual says it works at up to 75hz). The problem is when I set my monitor to 75hz on nvidia control panel it works fine, but whenever I reboot my computer it goes back to 60hz. I've been reading some similar topics here and some people said it runs at 60hz on windows and at the "normal" frequency on games and etc. Could that be my case?
