On my computer I have a small SSD with my operating system (WIN 10) and 2 1TB HDD's, i have over 450GB of videos on one of them and I moved it to my second hard drive using steam mover (Junction Points) as I didn't want to mess about moving where the default videos folder is but wanted to have it on a different HDD.

So in my current state I have a Junction point between 2 storage hard drives and my question is, when i reinstall win 10 on my SSD in a few weeks once i get new hardware, will my junction between the two hard drives be affected when i'm only going to format my SSD?

I would say yes, it will be effected as from what I can tell, a junction point is just a link from the game folder to new location.

It leaves the main game folder and creates a link that steam can follow through there, it gives you back all but a few KB of your space.

If you reinstall win 10 on new SSD, it won't know anything about this arrangement as it wasn't involved with the creation. I haven't used Steam mover before so not sure if you can recover the links once its installed on windows again.

It might work, I don't know for sure. I can't see a way to ask makers.. though there is a feedback link here: http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover
