Alienware M17x r3 2nd Drive

I had a second hard drive sitting in my other laptop that I never used. I was running out of space on my alienware so I decided to take that hard drive and put it in my alienware. When I did that the 2nd drive does not show up. How do I get that to show.

assuming you inserted properly the hard disk and let it secure in the hard disk bay

after turning on, did you entered into uefi bios of your laptop to check if it was recogniced there or if the port is enabled?

if that is the case, in windows did you run disk management?

create a primary partition and then format it as ntfs

it should work

if it doesn't, the hard disk wasn't properly inserted on the sata port or the hard disk itself has problems

It shows on my BIOS but not in my disk management.
