Don't have permission to save changes to my own files in windows 10

I have a file saved on my desktop. When I try to make changes to the file and save it under the same name, I'm told I don't have permission to make changes to it.

I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing, but I right click on my C drive, go to properties, security, advanced, and it shows the owner as "trusted installer". Is that what it should be?
How do I change it so I have permission to read, write and change my own files?

See if setting up a homegroup helps at all - link isn't a remark on your ability, its just very clear in its description: http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-10/how-to-set-up-a-homegroup-network-in-windows-10/

Don't mess with trusted installer, leave it alone as windows needs it to do its job.
