Is my build good for a 1920 x 1080p monitor?

I have:
rx 480 4gb
i5 6600K
16gb ddr4 ram
512GB SSD
msi z170a
evga 650 psu gold edition

im currently using a 1440 x 900 monitor and so far every game can be maxed out and it looks good but i want something bigger and people say to get a 1920 x 1080 monitor. will my rig be able to handle it with most games on high but not ultra?

It will handle 1080p with no worries. Depending on the game, you should be able to hit Ultra settings as well. Again, that's in certain situations.

As you have a CURRENT Gen iCore AND a CURRENT Gen GPU, yeah nothing to stop you from 1080P. If your trying for ULTRA settings though you would need a bump in the card (and possibly the PSU depending what you bump to) but also depends on the titles. You can check your favorite game at www.canirunit.com and it will compare your computer to it and tell you where you stand.
