Can I use DDR3 DIMM in DDR3L/DDR3 Slots in a motherboard, on gigabytes website it says that it supports both + the cpu i want uses DDR4/DDR3L

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-H170M-HD3 DDR3
CPU: Pentium G4560

If the motherboard supports it, you can, though I'd still be uneasy long-term having 1.5V RAM in there.

Bigger problem is that the motherboard has a high probability of needing a BIOS update *before* you can use a G4560 in it. A B250 motherboard is the recommended one for this CPU.

Can't i lower voltage in BIOS?

It's not that simple. The RAM may very well need to be at 1.5V to reach the stated specs. Biting the bullet and getting proper DDR4 RAM is the best solution. If you're less uneasy than I am, you can run the RAM, it is officially supported by Gigabyte, I'd just personally not do it because of the long-term risk to the memory controller.

¿Could?, yes but with a potential risk on the long term.

It's safe? No, the problem is that the voltage conversor is within the CPU chip, and it's limited to 1,35v for DDR3L (witha built in 10% safety margin). You could use an 1.5v voltage and it will (normally) not burn instantly but it's no safe on the long term.

If you could undervolt the DDR3 then it becomes (slightly) more safe, and if your DDR3 ask for more than 1.5 (for example they are 1.65v modules) then the answer is directly a no go.

Yes you could.

But normally if you undervolt the RAM you will need also to increase the timmings and reduce the RAM speed to get the memory stable with that voltage.

Then depending on the quality of the module could try with 1.40-1.42v, increase the ram timming and reduce the speed if you get memory errors with the reduce voltage.

And still, on the long term is not healthy for your CPU.

Then , I need a budget build with ddr4 and the g4560
