CPU and GPU suddenly run hot

Hi guys,

Usually my CPU and GPU would be running at around 50C-60C while I'm in game with max graphic settings. The past few days, the temps have suddenly shot up to above 70C and I cannot think of a reason why it did that.

If it's any help, this problem occured after I put in a new modular power supply (the one before was old and non-modular), but I can't see why that would affect anything...

Any input and/or suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Wan't it 90's there too the past few days? The hotter it is outside then the hotter the pc runs, unless you have it in a temperature controlled environment that is.

Yes it has been very hot outside. My friends told me not to worry because it's just a weather thing, but then a few days ago it jumped up to 84 while in game.

Something just didn't sit right with me so I reapplied the thermal paste (last time was around 3 months ago) and now all is well. Idle temp 27-35 and 45-55 in game.

I am a happy camper again
