1440p monitor suggestion?

I want to get a 1440p monitor; I think 144Hz is unnecessary but 60Hz may not be quite enough, so what is a good middleground? I don't play competitive games so I don't need a high refresh rate. Is 27'' the best size? I would also like freesync. I live in the UK also.
Thanks.

Yeah that's perfectly fine. :)
The 1600 boosts to about the same, however IPC is much better, the FX 6300 is weak as all hell. :p
The included stock cooler is very beefy.
Get the 1440p monitor listed later.

I don't really have a particular budget, just whatever's good enough.
Does G/FreeSync make a big difference? I don't really want to spend a lot more for a gsync monitor which is why I'm hesitant to go Nvidia.
I could also wait for the Vega GPUs, would that be a good idea?

No they don't.
You don't need G-Sync just because you have an Nvidia card, it's overpriced for what it offers most of the time.
AMD are sold out everywhere purely for ethereum mining.
Don't wait for Vega, shipping to retailers at the end of next month at the earliest. Gonna be about two months before they're in stock.
I need a number to work with here, even if it's rough.

Maybe £1000, though I could spend more. My CPU is an FX6300 so I'll need to upgrade that as well. And the motherboard, probably. And maybe some new fans and a cpu cooler, and RAM as well.
So I should just go Nvidia and forget G/Freesync?

Buy this, get the monitor later.
This is assuming you have a good PSU, but i'll wait till you've told me till I confirm.
I've made another list too.
You should have at least a good quality 450w with a 1080.
The S12II 430w also works by a fingernail.

I currently have a 550W power supply, so I can just keep that? It's this one: XFX P1-550S-XXB9.
I'm really set on going 1440p, for web browsing/other things, and also because I want to play older games as well at 1440p, which will be easier to run at that res.
My current cpu is 3.5GHz, how much faster is the Ryzen?
Should I get a separate cpu cooler and better fans if I want to OC?

So I could OC okay with the stock cooler and the fans that came with my case? (Zalman Z9 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case)
I've been thinking I may want new fans. And would 550W be fine if I OCed?

Same panel as the old Asus PB287Q from 2015.
They're a UK brand who buy old stock of panels from lg & Samsung.
So yeah not the absolute best quality but certainly not crap IMO.

As said though , unless you're actually buying a 1080ti probably not the best idea for a gaming screen.

for 200 quid its a good buy.

You can get better but youll be touching the 350 quid mark.
