Best Available G-Sync Monitor?

Hi, I am looking for some input for a 2K 144/165hz monitor. I am looking for the best currently available for playing shooters on. I was going to wait for the PG27VQ or CFG75 monitors but since there is no date or recent info on it I think I'll just get one now. So any suggestions on a current model? Also which would be recommended TN vs IPS vs VA?

I have a MG28UQ which is 4K and is only ok quality wise so I was thinking of getting a 4K HDR monitor later in the year once they start getting released so I'd use that for games that wouldn't be competitive.

The Asus PG278QR would be good. These monitors are 1440p, 144-165 Hz, and have G-Sync.

^These are similar to the previous ones, but are also IPS.

Take your pick from them. Asus monitors are usually pretty good, especially high end ones.

The best to play shooters on is a 240Hz monitor.
What are your specs?
G-Sync is a waste of cash unless you have a top of the line setup, better spent on performance otherwise.

I have a GTX 1080ti and a i7 7700K@4.8Ghz so preformance shouldn't be an issue really.

Ah, I see, three monitors to swap between sounds fantastic if you have the funds.
Grab a second 1080 Ti instead imo, but this is a great choice if you really can't hold on for 4k 144hz.

TN is fine at 24", at 27" you'll want IPS.

If you want a 27" screen, get this.
You don't need G-Sync with a 1080 Ti, it's a waste of money.

^ For that setup a 1440p 120-144Hz panel would match performance better. Don't go over 144 Hz because you won't get those FPS, at least in GPU-intensive games. If you play CS:GO, then you can go for 165 Hz, no problem.

I don't want to get the 4K 144Hz because I won't be able to achieve that for the foreseeable future. The PG27VQ is the 2K 165Hz monitor. I'll do some homework on the monitors ye have suggested.

Is BLB still a major issue with IPS panels or is that gone?

Most of the time it's IPS glow you're referring to, BLB is a pretty terrible issue, and not prevalent on most quality monitors save for Asus' PG278/9Q and lower end models.
