Data Center versus SSD?.

I was thinking of buying an 8TB Western Digital Drive and just rip all my Bluray and DVDs onto it is a good idea ( i have about 30 anime series), was wondering if you can use Data Center drives as normal storage, Don't really want to build my own server, would rather have everything in one place,

Sure; there's nothing special with Data Center drives; they are RAID ready with a 5 year warranty.
