Rust loading times immense

When I join any server it takes to load the assets about 10-15 minutes.Even starting the game takes 3 minutes.Is this normal?
Specs:
CPU: Intel Pentium G4400
GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 Ti OC 4GB
RAM: 1x HyperX Fury 4GB 2133Mhz
Using 5 years old HDD with 7200rpm

Yeah that is normal. Rust takes a <mod edit> ton of time to load in, even with a ssd's

Most of what I have heard is that RAM is the main issue, with many recommending 16GB over the recommended 8GB. Your 4GB is most definitely not enough for Rust.

Moving onto an SSD can help with load times if you have one available.
