DVI working HDMI not

I recently bought a HDMI cable to test it with my PC. Previously i am using a DVI cable with my monitor and its working fine. However when i tried to use my newly bought HDMI cable, my monitor cant detect any signal.

- Ive tried restarting my PC while HDMI cables are plugged and it didnt work
- Tried plugging out and plugging in the HDMI cable while pc is on didnt work either
- Tried the 30 sec press the power cable while pc power cables are plugged off and it still didnt work

But whenever i will use the DVI cable it works perfectly

- Sapphire 280x Vapor X
- LG23mp68vq
