Hi Everyone,
I'll try and keep this short.
Flashed TP-Link router so now running DD-wrt firmware.
16 port D link switch.
Switch not working and computers say no internet access.
They can see each other on the network but won't talk to each other or connect to the internet!!
Could the DD-wrt firewall stop the switch???
Many thanks
James

Many thanks for your answer. I will turn it on again and re check it. If it is the router settings then what should I be looking for please?
Any ideas?

Hi,
It's all solved now thankyou.
I did the hard reset 30 30 30 and still the same like all the other times.
So I tried a different approch. I plugged the switch into the router and reset it with the switch connected to the router.
It worked so it must have been to do with the configs.

Many Many thanks
James

Cross wires I'm afraid, It always went modem, router and then switch.
I just for some silly reason known to who knows what that I would reset the router with the switch unplugged from router in the hope that
it would reset better with nothing connected!!
Seems that resetting it with the switch connected was the way to go. It obviously sees it and configures it in it's initial start up.
We live and learn and then sometimes it's best to walk away. At least for a while anyway!!
Thanks
James

It may work -- for now. There is nothing in the reset of a dd-wrt OS that would CARE if a switch was connected to a port or not. Switches are transparent to the network. All the router knows is there is a link on that port. Nothing about what is on the other end of the wire.
