Dell S2340M - phantom screen burn

Okay, so I was using a Dell S2340M and suffered what I thought was screen burn. Outlook (most open program on that monitor) was clearly readable across the left side of the screen.
I thought, "that sucks" and grabbed another one from an unused computer. I checked prior to exchanging, the new monitor had no issues.
Once i plugged it into my computer, the screen burn appeared again!!
I am completely baffled here.
